Benefits of Choosing Hybrid or Electric Vehicles
The automotive industry is creating and producing hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric vehicles at lightning speed. Demand for these cars and SUVs is growing, as is an awareness to protect the environment from CO2 emissions. Audi is taking on that particular responsibility, aiming to become an integral part of the solution. HEVs, otherwise known as hybrid electric vehicles, help to move forward Audi's commitment to reducing CO2 emissions. They also provide drivers with many unique advantages that gas-powered models can't offer. The Audi e-tron® and the Audi e-tron® Sportback are two particular models that have expanded the manufacturer's electric portfolio, and both are available here at Audi Livermore. Benefits of Choosing Electric or Hybrid

Eco-friendly
Like previously mentioned, when you decide to purchase or lease an electric or hybrid vehicle, you're helping the environment by reducing CO2 emissions. Some of the fast-charging, all-electric models can even qualify as zero-emission vehicles. What does that mean? There isn't a single drop of fuel that's burned for power. Other hybrids can now reach MPGe estimates of over 40, 45, even 50, while all-electric vehicles can top even that. To give an example, the 2021 e-tron® has an EPA-estimated 78 MPGe combined.* You can have the transportation you need while reducing your carbon footprint.

Wallet-pleaser
Boasting such high MPGe estimates and (for some models) no fuel utilized at all, the long-term cost of fuel consumption could be lower for the hybrid and all-electric options, as opposed to their gas-powered counterparts. You can save yourself on trips to the gas station, and because all-electric vehicles operate without your normal engine upkeep (such as engine belt replacements, oil changes, transmission fluid flushes), your wallet will be graciously thankful when you factor in the engine maintenance on top of fuel savings.

Tax Incentives
Not only will you witness differences in long-term costs, the upfront costs can be lowered for a qualifying hybrid or all-electric purchase with federal and state tax incentives. The U.S. Department of Energy incentivizes American consumers to buy qualifying vehicles in order to build and maintain the market for electric vehicles. This is great news for you. To see which rebates, credits or incentives you qualify for based on where you live, visit the Alternative Fuels Data Center and select your state.

Warranty
Were you aware that the standard battery warranties for all-electric or hybrid vehicles can sometimes be better than that of a gas-powered vehicle? To give you an example, the 2021 Audi e-tron® comes with the standard Audi New Vehicle Limited Warranty (coverage for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first) and the Audi Battery Warranty (coverage for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first). Some hybrid warranties can even be transferred from owner to owner, which means if you find a hybrid in our used inventory, it may still be covered under its original warranty.

There are many reasons why you should consider an electric or hybrid vehicle when you’re ready to start shopping. If you'd like to learn more about our vehicle inventory or would like to take a test drive, contact us directly or stop by Audi Livermore located at 3400 Las Positas Road, Livermore, CA 94551.
